States Lay the Foundation: Refugee and Immigrant Workforce Inclusion Legislative Summit

On December 17, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in partnership with the Refugee Advocacy Lab hosted our year-end Legislative Summit - States Lay the Foundation: Refugee and Immigrant Workforce Inclusion Summit.

This event focused exclusively on the various paths states can take to ensure that refugees and immigrants are incorporated into the state workforce. The agenda featured a legislative panel with state elected officials and leaders speaking to the measures they have introduced aimed at increasing refugee and immigrant access to work and professional licensing while meeting the workforce needs of the state. Speakers also shared best practices and resources for replicating these measures in other states.
